Moving Forward on Nartiv.com Website
Launched a very light version of Nartiv.com today (which is password protected) so our team can test the design and refine the overall system. At this stage writers can post their stories in brief chunks. Over the summer illustrations and photographs will be added, inspired by the writing.
Indie Game Completed
The team and I at Heroic Interactive completed production on the project Indie - A Day in the Life. I think that everybody is very satisfied with the outcome of the project. The site does not go live until Fall 2009 so we will have a chance to tweak the game-play over the course of the year.
Jordan Scott to Perform Stutter at the Music Gallery
On Thursday May 21st at 8pm Stutter will be performed at the Music Gallery. Stutter is an audio vs. poetry installation piece featuring Jordan Scott and the Element Choir. Around this time last year my Artist Bloc collaborators Agi Gutkowska and Aaron Kopff produced a Bravo!FACT film capturing this unique performance.
Development Complete on The Spy Training Game
Working as Interactive Designer and Project Manager at Heroic Interactive we have completed development on Connor Undercover - The Spy Training Game. I am very excited about this project. There will be tons of flash based mini-games that our target demo will love. To keep them coming back we have dreamed up a secondary system that will drive an overarching narrative that takes players around the world on the tail of international super villains.
New Artist Bloc Website v2.0
The Artist Bloc crew and I have launched a new website/blog to show of some of our past docs and to provide a platform for our community to post about their creative process. It is pretty bare bones but look out for v2.1 coming soon with a few more features.
Development Completed on Ready Set Jet
The team and I at Heroic Interactive Inc. have completed development on our first funded project Ready Set Jet. We completed the rough design of six explorable environments and a playable prototype of the coral reef level. This project will be a total hit for our young audience.
How Embarrassing! Application Complete
The new team at Heroic Interactive has completed its first financing application for the project How Embarrassing! The concept is a fun one. Basically it is an on-line community where you use wacky weapons like fart bombs and whoopee cushions to defeat or embarrass fellow players.
Initial Development Phase Complete for Nartiv.com
We have completed our initial development phase for the Nartiv.com project - an online narrative development tool. In addition we have submitted applications for financing to three government operated financing institutions; Telefilm New Media Fund, Canadian Film Centres (CFC) Innovation Fund and the NFB’s independent production fund.
Mark Pellegrino Doc Complete
Although we all shared in the process of creating each of the docs for the Artist Bloc exhibition we each were responsible or given creative control over two. I have just completed the final cut on Mark Pellegrino’s short doc. He feels that to be a great artist one must experience great trials which his suburban upbringing did not provide for.
Hollywood Tycoon Studio Game Complete
We have just completed our first game in the Hollywood Tycoon franchise. Players get a studio to manage and produce films which earn them money that allows them to build up their studio and thus make better films. The objective is to become the worlds greatest movie producer. I was involved in this game as a producer at Bitcasters where it was developed.
